Hi, I have a dog called
Ella and she is a one-year-old Maremma Sheepdog.
She is fluffy and
white and likes chasing the paperboy and our kitten, Leo.
She prefers cat
food to her own. Last year she ran into the road whilst she was
chasing
the paperboy and she was nearly hit by a car. I love Ella!

Once my family and me and
some friends went to Vermont. We went skiing.
On one trip to
the ski resort, my dog, Lucky, was digging in the snow. I
went to see how
deep he had dug. I ended up falling in the hole. Good old
Lucky got me out
by pulling me by my snow bib. I think he is the best dog in
the world.:-)
Last week, me and my family
were at our country house in NJ. We were
going to a friend's house. Suddenly
Lucky saw a deer. He ran after it. I went
to my friend's house. I asked him if
his family could help us find Lucky. We
searched and searched. We ended up
not going to my friend's house because we
stayed out so late. Just then I saw
Lucky standing in our yard. Somehow we got
him in the house. I love you, Lucky!:-)

Hi, my name is Natalie and
I have one cat and one dog. My dog's name is
Mandy. She is cute. Now I will tell
you a story. When I was 4 years old, I
always wanted a dog and one day I was
going to a place called Hearst. My
mom knew that I wanted a dog but my
mom said that I was to young to have
a dog. So my mom bought me a cat instead.
Last year in 1998 my aunt had a
friend that was in an apartment and
he had a Golden Retriever, so we called
my aunt and asked her friend if I could
have that dog. He said that his dog was
just 20 inches, that he was small for
that breed of dog. But when we went to
get the dog, it was huge! My 19 year
old brother said that "this
is not a dog,
it's a horse".
The dog was too big for me. Now on April 12, 1998 my mom and
I tried to find
a dog.The same day we found a small puppy and called her
Mandy. Her birth
date is March 3 1998. I love my dog Mandy. She is the best
dog for me and
small children. I love my pet dog Mandy, the best dog ever!

I have two sled dogs. I
was 5th out of 9 in my first sled dog race. My dogs ran really
well that day. I was happy with my dogs, but I was the laugh
of the race. One
of my dogs is a collie cross, and everyone called him Lassie!
He
may not be a "normal"
sled dog, but he is my best friend. He has
pulled 600 pounds
at a weight pull! My other dog is an Alaskan Husky.

was Sassy. She was very, very lovable and on the
night before Valentine's
Day it was very, very cold and snowy. Sassy loves the
snow so she went
outside and walked around for a while. Then she started to
make a heart out
of her footprints so when her owners looked out of the window
they
saw a heart made out of footprints. They were so amazed that they
took a
picture
of it and that meant how lovable Sassy is.

to the tennis court and play tennis.
Her master was Mary. She always slept
with Mary. One day she did not eat
her meal.There was something wrong.
She went to the swimming pool. She
saw someone drowning. She jumped into
the pool and saved a young girl.
Maggie was a hero!

Once upon a time there was
a dog named Sally. She had no home at all and
she really wanted
a home. When the store was closed she found a doggy door
and now she really
knew that the person was really dumb to have a doggy door
at a pet store.
Anyway, she went through it and she was free!!! She was really
free.
She was so happy that she woke up two neighbors and they called
the
pound.
They took her inside. She was really in trouble now. The pound
was coming to get her. She was very scared. She was never out
of the pet store before.
Well, guess what happened next? This pound does not
take baby animals so
the neighbors were going to keep her until the pet
store opened. They told the
owner what had happened the night before
and he put her back with her mom.

My name is Devon. Once Alexx,
my cocker spaniel, was sleeping right next
to us. He was snoring. Alexx has been
a good and bad dog. He is good because
when he sits down, he is good. Alexx
is bad because he goes to the bathroom
too much and he likes to get in the
trash can when we are not there.
Stewart, my Scottie, is
my other dog. He is bad because he always fights with
Alexx and tries
to eat the cat. He is smaller than Alexx but that doesn't bother
him.

I have a dog named Dakota.
He is a Siberian Husky. One night I called him
so I could give
him a bone and he didn't come. I called him three more times
and he still didn't
come. I told my parents and my dad went looking for him.
He went to the
end of the street and called him. Luckily, he came when he
heard my dad. Later
we found he crawled under our fence into our neighbor's
yard and then under
their fence. He never ran away again because we got a
new fence.

My dog is a hero! Me and
my friend were playing in the road. A car was
coming very fast.
Just in time, my dog, Isabell, barked. RUFFFF! Me and
my friend looked
ahead and my friend saw the car. But I didn't because
I was making snow
angels. The person in the car didn't see me. So Isabell
dragged me out
the best she could, at first I thought she was playing.
Then I found out.
I got out of the road. So my dog saved my life.

I just got this new dog
named Henson. Right before we got him, his other
owner's son was
playing with him, when he decided to do something funny.
They had subscribed
to Disney magazine for a while. He took the whole box of
magazines and put
them on top of Henson. They took a picture of him and sent
it in to Disney
to print it, so now my dog's a star!!
I also have a dog named
Dakotah. He is a Golden Retriever. One time when
these people came
to our house, he started to bark and growl. He never does
this, so my family
was very happy to know that he was protective.

I have two dogs. One of
them lives in Albuquerque with my dad and it is a
long-haired Miniature
Dachshund named Koko. He is very lovable and he
LOVES attention!
Koko is almost 10 years old. If you want to hear a funny

on.... When Koko and I were just babies ,I accidentally dropped
him
on his head and just between you and I, I think that is why he
is not as
lovable to me to my dad! My other dog lives with my
mom in Dallas.
She is an American Staffordshire (Pitt Bull) named
Cooter Brown. She is a
chocolate, red-nosed dog with short hair and she also
has white hair around
her nose, on her chest, and on all of her feet. She
is a lap dog and she sleeps
with my mom every night. The funny
thing is that she is such a mama's girl
that she won't even sleep in my room
for a whole night! Cooter is going
through a false pregnancy (2 years
old in July) and has to take lots of
medications. It was nice talking to
you, bye!

SNORES even when she's up! She snores

I have a dog named Sally.
She doesn't like me too much, but she likes my other
family. Sometimes
if my mom or dad gets up and no one is in the room but me,
I will get one
of her toys and play with her. Then when she will get up in the
recliner
with me. I will start to pet her until she would go to sleep.Then
I would
get
the remote and watch T.V. until Mom or Dad would come in and wake
her up.

Last year we had taken a
puppy Springer back to the breeder because he kept
on biting us. After
a few weeks, I started to want to get another dog. But my
family didn't want
one. One day my mom decided to take me to our local
dog pound. We found
nothing. So we came back to the pound about every day
of the week until
one day, on a Tuesday, I had seen a large, very ugly-looking
dog that had a
lot of hair on his head. But the form said that he was a Springer
Spaniel. Well,
that day we left the pound with our name down for him.
After the 3 days were up
and many arguments about keeping the dog, we finally
brought him to
the groomers. After he was done and he came out of the grooming
shop, he was so
gorgeous that I hated to call him a dog! A year later he is still
with
us and he and I are in 4-H together and I absolutely love him.
We call him
Chance.

Gunner. Gunner is a sweet dog, but very bad.
Today I put Gunner out and he got out
of his collar and ran off. We had to
keep our cats Molly and Sammy. We caught
him and now he is in our pen. At
school I miss him. He thinks he's the
boss. He barks when he does not get played
with. Now he is in his pen in Durham
in Maine on earth on a planet in outer space
sleeping in his dog house.

I also have 2 other dogs.Their names are Jack and
Oscar.I am writing
about Penny because she is my favorite! I got her for
Christmas when
I lived in Redlands. But we live in the mountains. I think her
think
coat comes in handy when it snows! It just snowed on 12-22-98.
One time
she
ran away and we had to look for her for days! Our dog, Jack, knows
how
to
get out of our gate by jumping over. Penny will not jump over,
she is a
scaredy-dog.
She is not too bright. She chases flies all day! She is a German
Shepherd. I trained
her to sit and shake.

Hi. I am a white Maltese
dog named Marshmellow. I used to belong to a nice
girl named Allison.
But her family had to move away and they couldn't take
me with them. Allison
was so upset to leave and not take me with her. I was
taken to the Humane
Society before they left.
As Allison said good-bye,
a tear rolled down her cheek. I stayed at the
Humane Society
for 2 months. I missed Allison and wanted to see her again,
but I knew she
was never coming back. Another month and no one had taken
me home. Then one
day I heard the people that took care of the animals talking.
"I think it's
time to put that one to sleep," a man said pointing
to me. Oh no! I
thought.
What will I do? Just then,
a family came in the door that looked very familiar.
Then a little girl
came in after the family. She was looking around the room for
something.
Then I got a better look at the girl. It was Allison! Allison
was
scanning
her eyes across the room until she caught sight of me. "Marshmellow!"
she
cried. She ran over to me. Before I knew it, I was out of my cage
and in the
car going home. I was so happy.

When my parents, brother,
2 dogs, and I moved a block over to a bigger
house, one of my dogs, Ozzie, got out
of our fenced yard by digging a hole
in the ground. We looked for him and
when we went to our old house, we
found him at the front door crying.
No one lived there yet. And then a week
later Ozzie and our other dog Cerny
got out and we knew where to find them.
We found them at our old house asleep
at the front door. Still no one lived
there. We still live a block over from
our old house and the dogs never have
run away since!

My sister and I had a dog
named Odo. One night I left the door open.
Odo got out. We searched a day for
him. Then our friend's dad, Edd,
came over and asked if he could speak
to our mom alone. He said that he
went to the pound and he asked if they
had picked up any big male Labradors.
He said the people there just stared
at him and said, "Are
you the owner?"
He said, "No,
my friends lost their dog." They said that there was
one who
was
hit by a car and died. And it turnd out to be our dog. He knew
it was ours
because his collar has a little piece of twine hanging
off it. This happened a
couple months ago on March 9. No matter how hard it
is or how long it's been,
I will always love ODO!!
