| Bulldogs are medium size. They look small, but probably weigh more than you think. Males weigh about 50 pounds and females tend to be a little smaller, weighing about 40 pounds. Both dogs can be from 12 - 16 inches tall. |  |

Bulldogs are very interesting-looking dogs. Their bodies are very short, their shoulders are wide apart, and their legs are thick and strong. When a Bulldog walks, he kind of shuffles (drags his feet slightly) from side to side, unlike many other dogs who walk forward. But he walks confidently and he knows where he's going. Bulldogs are cool! |
A Bulldog's coat is short and lies flat. The hair is fine and very smooth. A healthy Bulldog's coat is shiny. Bulldogs have a short tail. Bulldog pups and adults have soft, loose skin around their head, neck, and shoulders. Even pups have lots of wrinkles! |

Red brindle and brindle Bulldogs are a brownish or tawny color with streaks of another color. Piebald Bulldogs have irregular (not all the same size) patches of two different colors. Solid colored Bulldogs can be all white, all red, all fawn, or all light brown. |

A Bulldog's mouth may look a little different than other mouths. Unlike most other dogs, his lower jaw will stick out farther than his upper jaw. So if you look at a Bulldog's mouth, you will see that his bottom teeth come out farther than his upper teeth. Your Bulldog's teeth need care and cleaning just like your own teeth do. Bathing your Bulldog will help keep him clean and smelling good. His wrinkles need special cleaning quite often. You also might enjoying hugging your Bulldog more if he is clean. Even though a Bulldog's hair is short, he will shed. Brushing him often will help keep the hair in the brush and not on the floor. Brushing also feels good to your dog and helps keep his skin healthy. |

It would be a good thing to walk your Bulldog everyday even if he has a yard. Bulldogs don't need a lot of exercise, but they do like to have fun. They enjoy being active, playing games, and participating in activities like swimming, flyball, agility, tracking, and obedience. |
Bulldogs are peaceful, friendly, and kind. They like people, especially kids, and will make a good best friend. Spending time with your Bulldog will make him a very happy canine! |

Because Bulldogs are small (they still weigh a lot!) and don't need lots of exercise, they make great dogs for apartments. A Bulldog will be happy to lay by your side and be your best friend. Just make sure you take your dog for walks so that he gets exercise. Getting him outside will also help to socialize your dog and ensure that he will become a good citizen in your neighborhood. |
Spend lots of time with your new pup from an early age so he is comfortable with you. Roll him over, touch his feet, look at his teeth, and brush him gently. This will help him get used to being handled and he will be a better companion when he is older. It is a good idea to socialize your pup from an early age so he is comfortable in many different situations. Taking him places where he will meet other dogs and new people will help him be a better companion for you. He'll also get some extra exercise! |

Know Your Breed Bulldogs are very sensitive to cold and hot weather. Bring your dog inside during the summer or make sure you give him lots of shade and cool water. A Bulldog should not be left outside during the winter unless he has an insulated dog house filled with warm straw (not hay). If you bring your Bulldog into the house to live, he will be much happier and so grateful! |

Bulldog, Brusier, is brown and white. He is the dog that

have the greatest Bulldog ever named Daisy Mae.
She is mostly reddish-brown
with a white face and chest.
She has the personality of a little kid, but
she also loves
to play rough. She does funny tricks and dances

Her favorite treat is popcorn, but we don't give

Daisy also loves going on walks in our neighborhood.
Everyone comes up to say hi when we're out and about.
She also got to be the team mascot for our youth
football team.

for about a minute, when he came back and his sandwich

gone! We checked all over the house and we finally saw

human! He does not like to eat alone. When it's time to
